  • Pattern:  N/A
  • Made in USA
  • Vintage:  circa 1952 - 1982
  • Details:  Such a cute ice bucket, it has its issues but it is so bright and cheery we just couldn't leave it behind.  Still displays beautifully, but please read "Condition" below for details on issues.  This is a very bright red bucket with an equally bright white lid and the very "mod" round flat lid handle, very retro looking made by Lily Tulip Cup Corp which was in business (under that name from 1952 to 1982).  Perfect to brighten up your picnic table, Memorial Day, 4th of July or Christmas celebration.  Makes a great display piece as part of a holiday vignette.
  • Material:  Vinyl, Plastic
  • Dimensions:  8.5 inches Tall (including lid),  6.5 inches in Diameter.  Inside, the bucket is approx. 6.5 inches tall.
  • Condition: Vintage - Used.  Average Condition. The lid has a small tear, it can probably be glued back with crazy glue.  It is missing the bottom piece so the cooler insert is visible from the bottom, and the cooler has small dents/cracks inside at the rim.  As with all vintage items, there are signs of use as acceptable due to wear/age.   Please review all pictures and make sure you love this  item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  All Sales Final.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
Lily-Tulip Corporation started on December 6, 1951 in Springfield, MO.  They erected a most unusual building, red brick with a very prominent Lily cup at the front of the building, which became a tourist attraction.  In 1968 the Springfield plant was sold to Owens-Illinois and became Owens-Illinois' Lily Division. In 1981, the plant was sold again, to a newly formed company which took the Lily-Tulip name, so it became the Lily-Tulip Corporation again. Lily-Tulip ceased operations at the plant in 1982.  Fort Howard owned the company briefly in 1988. In 1989 the manufacturer became Sweetheart Cup Company.  In 2004, it became a property of Solo Cup Co., with SOLO in capital letters written across the cup.  Unfortunately in 2010 Warren Davis Properties bought the building and decided to tare down the cup.
