Two old-world grape farmers heading home at end of day — baskets heaped with purple clusters, large green leaves spilling over the sides, soft muted colors of olive, ochre, orange, and violet against the warm bisque. They have the unhurried ease of people who have done this work for generations and find pleasure in it still.

HomCo (Home Interiors & Gifts) was founded in 1957 by Mary C. Crowley in Texas, built on the same home party model as Avon and Mary Kay — and grew into an $850 million company by the early 1990s with 42,000 independent salespeople. The pieces they sold, sourced from manufacturers across Asia, were chosen for their appeal to American homes, and the Toscany collection was among their most beloved. Both figurines retain their original HomCo foil stickers and carry collection number 1258. We also carry the boy alone if you only need one.

A natural for a wine room, an autumn vignette, an Italian-inspired shelf, or a kitchen that loves color in September. A lovely gift for a housewarming, birthday, or anyone who appreciates old-world charm.
