Desert Rose is not just a pattern — it is the most beloved American dinnerware ever made. Introduced by Franciscan Ceramics in 1941, hand-embossed and hand-painted in California, it became the best-selling American dinnerware pattern in history. These pieces are from the 1960s Gladding McBean / Interpace era — original California production, the ones collectors seek.

This listing is for one five-piece place setting: dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, cup, and saucer. Two settings are available. Off-white / warm beige in tone, not bright white — which is part of its character and charm. We also carry matching serving pieces, a service for 5, a six-piece setting with cereal bowl, rimmed soup bowls, creamer and sugar, and salt and pepper in this pattern.

For someone filling in a set, starting one, or simply wanting their daily table to be a little more beautiful.
