Desert Rose is not just a pattern — it is the most beloved American dinnerware ever made. Introduced by Franciscan Ceramics in 1941, hand-embossed and hand-painted in California, it became the best-selling American dinnerware pattern in history. These pieces are from the 1960s Gladding McBean era — original California production, the ones collectors seek.
This listing is for one six-piece place setting: dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, cereal bowl, cup, and saucer. Two complete settings are available — buy one or both. Off-white / warm beige in tone, not bright white. We also carry matching serving pieces, a service for 5, rimmed soup bowls, creamer and sugar, and salt and pepper in this pattern.
A wonderful gift for someone building out a Desert Rose collection one piece at a time, or a thoughtful addition to an existing set.
