  • Details:  This is part of a Souvenir State Plate Collection from Homer Laughlin.  This plate has a beautiful aqua blue/green border with tiny gold diamonds all over.   It has the name "Virginia" written in an old fashioned font and underneath "The Old Dominion" .  This name was given in Colonial days, around 1663, by King Charles II of England because he considered the Virginians "the best of his distant children".  The center of the plate shows the Virginia state flag, the state flower "Dogwood"  and other points of interest in that state.  The back is stamped: "Cavalier Eggshell, Homer Laughlin, U.S.A., B53N5".  This is a great addition to a state plate collection.   Great gift for someone moving to the state of Virginia or a birthday gift for someone born in that state.  Or collect them for yourself for states you've visited or lived in.  We also carry: Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Maine, and Oregon. 
  • Material:  Ceramic
  • Dimensions:  10.25 inches in Diameter
  • Condition: Vintage - Used.  Very Good Condition.  There is a little paint on the white margin on the top left of the plate and a manufacturing defect on the blue border, (both photographed for you).  These were souvenir plates and not considered high quality, they are really in great condition considering their age.  There may be other issues as acceptable due to age/use/wear.  Please make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
