- Details: An absolutely gorgeous decorative plate with hand painted roses in Pink, (or some would call it Peach) colored roses signed by Renata. In the background are smaller yellow flowers and the unmistakable tiny blue Forget Me Nots. We believe this plate could date to the early 20th century, could be earlier, before the 19th century forget-me-nots gained popularity, especially during the Romantic era, and particularly in Germany. Also, the artist name, Renata is a very old fashioned name, and the very thick gold swirled border is indicative of an earlier decor style. But this is all just speculation on our part, we hope you love the plate for its beauty and not for its age or pedigree it may, or may not have. There are two pre-drilled holes for hanging with wire, or use a plate holder for display. This would make a beautiful addition to a wall plate collection.
