The 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was a luxurious, high-performance convertible known for its distinctive styling and powerful engine. Designed by Harley Earl, a GM Styling Director, for elegance, with subdued tail fins, (this was the last year for these smaller tail fins). The "Biarritz" name was inspired by the luxury seaside resort in southern France. The 1958 Eldorado Biarritz represents a significant period in Cadillac's history, marking the last year before the company went "over the top" with tail fins.
