The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air was the top-of-the-line model for Chevrolet, known for its stylish design, pronounced tail fins, powerful engine, and iconic status. It was designed by a team led by Chuck Jordan at Chevrolet to compete with the "Forward Look" designs of Virgil Exner at Chrysler. The 1957 Bel Air is considered one of the most iconic American vehicles of the 1950's and is highly sought after by collectors.
