Details: A beautiful and collectible decanter from Ski Country. This figural decanter is shaped like a racoon fishing from a log. He was successful, there's a nice size fish in his mouth. Marked: Ski Country Golden Colorado, 4/5 Qt, Racoon, Limited Edition 1974. It retains the original Ski Country paper label in front and the Made in Japan foil label on the bottom. Originally sold with Bourbon Whiskey, (now empty), it is part of an extensive collection of approx. 195 different decanter designs (1974 - 1983), now highly collectible. Ski Country was a brand from Foss Drug in Colorado. A hard to find decanter, hand painted, porcelain bisque, it will make a unique decor in a home bar or study. It's rustic enough for a mancave, cabin or country home.

Ski Country was a brand introduced in 1972 by Foss Drug of Golden, Colorado. Originally issuing porcelain art decanters shaped like skiers, eventually growing to over 195 different decanter designs. Featuring wildlife, people, buildings, rodeos, and even states. These decanters were made until 1983 and are highly collectible today.
