Seven pieces of Romanian blown glass, each covered in hand-etched grape clusters, leaves, and tendrils — the kind of set that makes a dinner table feel like a proper occasion and a bar cart feel like it belongs in a Tuscan villa.
The decanter is the showpiece: an unusually shaped handled decanter with a long, heavy stopper that is striking in its proportions — unlike any standard decanter shape, it has a character entirely its own. The six stemmed glasses feature lovely tulip-shaped bowls, designed to let you swirl wine or spirits and capture the full aroma before the first sip. They would serve equally well as cordials, brandy snifters, or sherry glasses. Every piece is blown glass with beautifully executed etched detailing throughout.
Romania has one of the finest glassblowing traditions in Europe, and pieces like this are a testament to why — the craftsmanship is meticulous and the glass itself has a wonderful weight and clarity.
One minor condition note: one glass has a very small chip on the inside of the rim, photographed for you. The remaining six pieces are in very good vintage condition with no surface scratches.
