Description

  • Vintage: 1987
  • Details:   This is an absolutely beautiful example of folk art.  It is a hand painted metal pitcher with a beautiful depiction of peaches, blueberries and green leaves with branches and twigs in brown, all on a soft blue background.  The pitcher is also bordered on top and bottom, as well as the pitcher handle with beautiful scrolls, and zig-zags.  The bottom border is a dark blue with thin red lines, the top border is dark blue with gray-blue lines.   It has a wonderful shape that widens on the bottom.   The design is only on one side, it's blank on the other side but the border decor goes all around.  It is signed and dated at the bottom: C. Hahn 7/87  We feel this is a decor piece and not safe to use with food.  Would be great for holding kitchen utensils, with fresh or silk flowers, or lovely to display on its own, as kitchen decor or perhaps as part of a vignette or on a bookshelf.  Great for country / farmhouse decor, a hostess gift,  a going away present for someone moving to Georgia (peaches!).
