Vintage Clear Glass Oval Serving Dish / Bowl – Starburst Center
1 in stock
- Details: We have struggled to find the brand and date of this piece, although it is obviously vintage, we have found similar items but not exact. However, it is so pretty and makes such a wonderful presentation that we decided to bring it to you. The most outstanding feature is the thick, scrolled rim that is unlike any other dish we've found. The sunburst on the bottom adds to the beauty of this piece, looks very much like the starburst that Heisey and Fostoria used in some of their patterns. If anyone can help us identify this pattern, we would appreciate the information. This is a serving dish, originally called a "celery dish" but we imagine it being used for asparagus, corn, or even nuts, olives, candy or any other side dishes. Also great as a catch-all by the door or on a dresser.
