- Made in Japan
- Vintage - circa 1960's
- Details: Such a cute little cat with her pink collar and bow, reminds us of one of the little kittens from the movie "The Aristocats". There are gold accents on both the collar, the bow, her tail and the tip of her nose. There's a gold cord because she's made to be hung, most likely in a closet with your favorite potpourri or sachet but we feel it would make a cute decor sitting pretty on a shelf or table, with or without scent. There are several holes on the back for the scent to escape. She is not bright white but rather a nice ivory glaze which is softly crackled/crazed all over for a beautiful finish. It still has the stopper at the bottom as well as its original label which reads: Takahashi, San Francisco 94103, Made in Japan. See below for a brief history of Takahashi.

The Takahashi Trading Corporation was founded in San Francisco, CA by Henri Hiroyuki Takahashi after WWII. Henri's son, Norman (Norman Tomoyuki Takahashi) studied computers in college and that knowledge of computerization helped make Takahashi's a national wholesale and retail company dealing in imported Japanese made designer home goods, with seven retail stores, in the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC. Norm would travel to Japan with his parents and upon his father's death, took over the company. Sadly, Norm just passed away in October of 2018. No word yet on who will be running the company but no doubt it will continue to be family owned.
