- Made in USA
- Antique: Early 1910's
- Details: Truly one of a kind quality, Mansfield's Evaporated Milk can label, Guaranteed Genuine/Original. One of the oldest milk labels you'll ever see in this pristine condition. The colors are very limited as color printing was limited to 2-3 colors at the time and was quite expensive. It has a very pretty, "old timey" design on the top and bottom border with red squares and lines within a blue border. Even with such simple details, the colors make it a very nice looking label and the red, white and blue combination is always in style. The label has a copyright of 1912 and it's from around that time period. This is a stone lithograph image of a cow's face, I'm guessing a Jersey or Guernsey cow. It is marked "United Milk Products Corporation". Interesting fact about this label, they were found in a box under the stairs of an old cannery when it was being demolished. Very Scarce. It's rare to run into can labels this old with this kind of quality, definitely suitable for framing, and recommended to maintain this condition. I've seen others buy 4 labels with the same theme (cows, vegetables, etc) and frame them together, looks very nice. Collecting labels has become a very popular hobby, mainly because of the beautiful and unique images/artwork that can be found. If this is your hobby, we have lots more labels available, please feel free to browse.
