These two are in absolutely incredible condition, given the age and use. Aunt Jemima stands in her red dress, matching headscarf, white apron, and white neckerchief, the holes on her head form an S. Uncle Mose, wearing a red jacket and yellow pants with top hat in hand, the holes on his head form a P. Uncle Mose was previously known as Uncle Rastus, in early 1910's he became Mose as not to confuse him with the Cream of Wheat chef mascot known a Rastus, who was reportedly inspired by Chicago chef Frank L. White (1867 – February 15, 1938).

Black Americana collectibles are a meaningful and complex category. This piece honors Nancy Green — one of the first African-American models, and the advertising world's first living trademark — while also preserving an unvarnished record of American commercial history. We encourage purchase with intent for preservation and for the greater good.
